The costs keep going up, and we keep getting less and less...
When the prices of packs keep going up and the rewards keep getting less and less, EA certainly isn't gaining goodwill with their customers. This is getting ridiculous. With the Saudis and some PE firms buying EA it will only get worse. We definitely need a competitor. It's not like the game has really even gotten much better in the last 30 years. Any innovations by EA have mostly been minimal, and the game has only advanced due to the improvement in technology over that time (which had nothing to do with EA.). The only improvements EA has brought to sports gaming are how to monetize it and provide as little as possible for a much money as possible. It's kind of like any charity (and why I don't give to them) ...at first it's people who want to legitimately save the whales (or make a great hockey game). Then it turns into people who want to fundraise and lobby (programmers who don't even like hockey and bean-counters). Eventually all the whale people leave and go try to save the actual whales. Where are those hockey fan programmers who want to actually make a sweet hockey game? There is so much private credit and venture capital available out there it should be doable. Why are there no collaborative open source games?
