Toty is pure trash

I’ve never had such a problem getting a mcdavid toty. The sets to get collectibles are absolute garbage. I have 87s that can’t be put to use cuz I don’t have a singular 88. What a joke.

Ea made toty so p2w, I remember last year when you only had to sell away your team to get a card like mcdavid. I shouldn’t have to play 5 hours a day to get a toty.  Ea is basically asking $70 to get a digital card that’ll last you- what, 7 months? Then you buy the $140 game again and you devote more time and toty becomes more p2w. 

If you’re going to stoop to this, give us another week and more accessible sets for the disabled people who don’t put their heart and souls ( not to mention money) into playing the game for a minimum of 2 hours a day. Chel is not my living, so stop trying to appeal to the bums who play the game 24/7. Instead of having to sell my team away for some mere 87s, they’re asking your bank account.

What a piece of trailer park trash. I’m usually all for NHL and I’m a huge advocate for the franchise, but this has gotten catastrophically out of hand. Fix this rubbish now.

    The TotY event is NOT the problem. TotY has always been expensive.

    The big difference this year is the horrible rewards. The sets require 89/90, and in Cup Chase, for example, win rewards are still capped at 83ovr.

    EA just wants money from customers this year, and that won't change in the future ... it will probably get even worse after the sale of EA

    And they just released OZN McDavid last week and had us jump through hoops for that.  Immediately when that one ends, there's a new McDavid. WTF!?

    Phasto this year TOTY is a problem. Normally yes it’s expensive and it should be for the type of cards they are. Unfortunately this year is a whole new level. So take McDavid for instance. We just got a 90ovr card couple weeks ago. Last week to get a 91 TOTY card we needed that 90 plus 34 collectibles. Only 6 less than if you didn’t have that card. Go back a year and if I’m remembering correctly that same instance only costed you like 14 collectibles or cards if that. Could’ve been even less. Now this year to get 5 collectibles you need a 89 and 90 to turn in. So right off the bat that 91 McDavid already has costed you 2 90’s cards you just made last week? If not more than just those 2 90’s. Then take in the price of store packs compared to last year. This whole event really has shown how greedy, deplorable, out of touch with their player base and ridiculous this years game truly is. Icing on the cake is all the things that haven’t been fixed or even addressed as something being wrong this year by now shows they don’t play the game themselves or care about us the fans. I hung up my skates last week finally and have no interest in lacing them back up. Ever. I only came on here because curiosity got better of me and wanted to see if this week was any better. And Nope lol.

    Yep. And why are the biggest set not made so that you could put 90+ cards to them. Rewards are **bleep** too.
