I think we might need a bit of re-think on the skating penalty for not coming out of your defensive zone fast enough. I understand it's there to stop the puck ragging players, and that's certainly something that needs to be dealt with. However, with the fatigue system in place, and the incompetence it makes our players play with when "tired", it can become a problem. Usually you can make a line change fast enough to offset it. However, if you're playing a "defence first" mentality of an opponent, it can be very punishing. I mean that we have to skate back, get the line change. Sometimes when this happens the program things we are ragging, that is not the case. When i say defence first i mean a mindset where they are constantly trying to block the neutral zone and just sit back. Boring hockey for sure, even worse when you get punished.
