Using a PWHL player as captain

I'm interested in building one of the female captains but before dumping so many players into building her I was hoping for some clarification. Will I need to be running a minimum of 5 PWHL players in order to activate her captain status? I have zero PWHL players that would even be considered usable at this point due to low level. Would I need to use her as a secondary captain (minus captain status on her with a male player as my captain) or would I need to switch around my entire roster to accommodate a female captain? 

I'm sorry in advance if this has been answered elsewhere.

    You need 3 PWHL players besides the captain to get the boost. Not 6. For the NHL captains it's 6 players, but for the PWHL captains it's 3 players.

    But yes, you need other PWHL players to get the boost. When you said "captain status", I thought you meant that you just want the player to be your team's captain. You don't need any other PWHL players for that, but for the boost you need 3 PWHL players besides the captain.

    I'm pretty sure you don't need any other PWHL players to activate the captain status. Those are only needed to activate the +10 AP boost. And you need 3 of them for the boost (it might be changed to 3 players from a specific team but currently it is just 3 PWHL players). To activate the captain status you only need to have the player in your lineup (and select her as the active captain if you have more than one Captains card from Season 2 in your lineup.

    So I won't need a specific amount of players from that league to get the boost? I'm only curious because captain chemistry says I need 6 players to go with Couturier (same conference) for his benefit. Would that not be the same?

    ** It sounds like I got my wording wrong with my initial comment. In order to get the boost, do I need 6 players from the PWHL is what I was trying to say hehe.

    Thank you! I hadn’t put my question together properly hehe. I appreciate the reply again :) I just was nervous before turning in cards in case it would need a massive lineup overhaul. Appreciate the clarification
