Wildcard Feedback

First of, I enjoy playing offline after work to relax and enjoy playing some NHL to do the objectives and try to upgrade my team. 

Normally, like probably 90% of the players I would let Wildcards run against the CPU at Superstar and gets the points for the losses. So I understand that EA is trying to revamp the Wildcard mode and thats fine but do it properly.

The theme teams thats nice allows you to play some different players and teams but the matchmaking is ridiculous. If you dont have money to buy or dont own any players of that team and get matchmake against someone who has 3-4-5 players 90+ overall vs someone playing with the freaking 80’s OV that we can pick its just a joke. Either allow less wildcard players forcing players to use the base cards or allow a few cards in that are maybe mid 80s like 85-88 that we can pick to make it fair.

One major thing… the shootouts.. its the most frustrating thing you could have done. Really seriously just get rid of it.. make it 3 on 3 OT. Simple I want to play hockey not freaking control a goaltender.. if I want to play goalie I’ll do a be a pro goalie or play EASHL. 

Also if you have 2 defeats in the first two games.. whats the point of even trying to win the last game? One win or 3 losses gives you the same rewards .. make the losses 150pts that would at least give players a reason to try to win the last game if they have 2 losses. We can at least try to get a blue gem.

Probably no one at EA will read this feedback but thats my 2 cents from someone who played all NHL games since NHLPA 94 and used to play fully online from NHL 13 to NHL 24. Last 2 years, just less time to stick to online gaming and getting older so its just fun to play some offline games and chill out/relax.

    First: "do it properly" is a steep hill to climb for them. Second: "Probably no one at EA will read this feedback" is a very good assumption.

    Absolutely one win + two losses should give you the second tier reward, now it is pointless as you say to play the last game / last two games, if you win your first and lose the others.

    Match making i agree with you partially.  I bought good teams beforehand, but not all will do that. That being said, i lost to an basic card player and simply because my opponent was way better than me. This Ovr match making thing was in NHL 2002 "Ultimate Team" already, i will forever remember being matched against M.Lemieux x 3, Jagr x 3 lines opponents, with my basic or little better team. That in that time felt unfair.
