Add Optional Multilingual Commentary to Future EA SPORTS NHL Games
Hello EA Sports Team and community!
I would like to share an idea that I believe could make future NHL games even more realistic, immersive, and accessible for players around the world.
My suggestion is to add an option to choose the commentary language in the game settings.
I would like to make it clear that this suggestion is not about replacing or removing the existing English commentary. English commentary should remain the default option and always be available. My suggestion is simply to give players the choice to select another commentary language if they prefer.
For example, the available commentary languages could include:
English
French
German
Spanish
Swedish
Finnish
Czech
Slovak
Russian
and other languages based on community interest and development resources.
Each language could feature professional native-speaking commentators using authentic hockey terminology, unique commentary lines, and their own broadcasting style.
If including every commentary language in the base game would significantly increase the overall install size, the additional commentary languages could be offered as free downloadable language packs (DLC). The base game would continue to include the default English commentary, while players could download only the language packs they want at no additional cost. This would help keep the base installation size smaller while still giving everyone the freedom to enjoy commentary in their preferred language.
Hockey is a global sport, and NHL games are enjoyed by fans from many different countries. Giving players the option to choose their preferred commentary language would make every match feel even more authentic and recreate the atmosphere of a real television broadcast in their native language.
Thank you to the EA SPORTS Team and the community for taking the time to consider this suggestion!
