Franchise questions
Is there any chance that the devs would unlock franchise mode? Similar to season mode. Since there hasn’t been any real updates to the mode in years, why not unlock the mode and allow overrides? I’ve played the mode literally the entire existence of the game. We should be able to override and customize player positions, types and attributes freely during the mode. We should also have the ability to override and customize strategies too. Like we could in previous versions. The devs added so many sick options to the strategies but locked them behind the arbitrary coaches and now playbooks that it’s actually infuriating. Also, playbooks, great play now idea. Very terrible in franchise mode. I want to have control of MY team. (It’s an offline mode give me control) id love to hear from a dev on why we can’t do this. Or why these abilities got taken away. Or if this mode is going to get some actual love soon. It is getting exhausting paying for the same thing and being locked out of the updates yall added. You guys made a huge update this week patching the stride deke, but players are still abusing the toe drag release. Elite quick shot lets you basically snipe the goalie with no defense, and it’s completely abused in clubs. In light of the recent goalie update, it appears EA is attempting to even the playing field, and to stop players from abusing “glitch goals” that are all but guaranteed to go in. Please patch this shot. It’s not even fun and people just abuse it over and over for easy goals.Future NHL Cover
I know Im not supposed to suggest ideas on EA sports covers but I have decided to ask you something very important. I know in youur past you have picked Rookies and young players. But there is an old veteran that has never got a cover and is still a All star and has nkt been recognized on his prime and his rookie year. He was a superstar but not on the cover for any of the games. Even though he is old and a veteran he is still playing so give him a chance and see how well he does and then decide if he should be on the cover for NHL 28. Seems to me that the grading handed out in Be A Pro mode is overly strict, far more so than the grading for offense and team play. My avatar player gives up zero goals and only five or so shots on goal the entire game, and yet my defensive grade for the game is B-. I realize that blocking shots, or stealing the puck counts for the grade, but there isn't sufficient weight given to denial of the opponent's shooting opportunities. I mean what's better quality defense, denying the opponent shots on goal through clogging up the neutral zone, or preventing the opponent from getting set to pass the puck around, or letting the opponent get set up for shots and then blocking them, or stick checking the puck away? In my view, there isn't proper grading for denying the opponent the offensive zone.WoC feedback - stick lift/poke check, goalies
idk where to start offense gets no pickups no puck possesion you lose the puck on legit everything the game is slow and not to mention defenseman are none stop poking everything and stick lifting me and poking me 5 feet away like what is that LOL why is it too goalies are able to make saves when half the net is open its comical its unreal how many times i have had an open net and aim it and goalie saves it the shots are not going where you aim them please fix this!!! one t aim needs fixing and so do wrist shots. im not saying it needs go in everytime but man at least you should be rewarded for shooting at the right place at the right time why did yall cater to defense and goalies like what is that lol Edit: Modified the title to better reflect the content of the thread. -CMIcon Passing
Is anyone else getting tired of watching Icon passes off breakouts going right past your player who is in the passing lane and making zero effort to intercept the puck because it is auto sauced? I personally think the icon sauce is taking any resemblance of skill out of the game and is basically a get out of jail/forecheck free card. Unless it physically hits your player by accident, you can be in the pass lane and your skater will make zero attempts to intercept the puck. I was hoping quick pick would help with this but even that is not doing it. I have even seen pucks going through my legs to get to the player they passed to. I don't mind it if they have tape to tape or send it to get the puck through, at least it gives the xfactor some value but anybody being able to just press a button and sauce the puck past the entirety of defense seems wrong to me. I mean these skaters can redirect slap shots but they can't bat down a sauced pass at half the speed probably? So should sauced pucks only happen through manual aim and xfactors or do you like the Icon sauce ability?Cole Eiserman & Kashawn Aitcheson!?!?!?
EA_Aljo Make it make sense. Why do EA refuse to put these in the game? THEY ARE NOT EVEN YET IN AND WE ARE PUSHING NOVEMBER?? Eiserman played last season in the AHL, and have 5 games played this season!? No problem adding him in HUT last season despite playing in the NCAA, but you refuse to put him in the game for the offline players, this is ridiculous.EA_Aljo Give me an real answer for this. Im so done with this franchise and dev team, you have ruined the game ive loved, long lasting and high paying customer, i will not give this team an cent more. This is an joke of an organisation.
