Broadcast Manager / post-whistle presentation not working as advertised?

I’ve played several games now and almost every whistle immediately transitions to the next faceoff. I’m barely seeing post-whistle player shots, bench reactions, crowd shots, contextual camera angles or replays.

The NHL 27 presentation deep dive specifically described the Broadcast Manager as functioning like a live TV director during stoppages, so is the current behaviour intentional or is something not triggering correctly?

Presentation overall also feels like a major step backwards. Player faces look noticeably worse than NHL 26, close-up crowd models look extremely low quality, animations and transitions are glitchy, and HDR looks unusually dark and desaturated (Maple Leafs blue jersey looks dark and dull for example).

Is the team aware of these issues, and are presentation improvements planned for an upcoming title update?  Thanks! EA_Aljo

  • I noticed that as well. After every whistle it just goes straight to faceoff.

  • Thanks for the reply EA_Aljo !  Appreciate you passing this along.

For the post whistle comment, I was assuming/hoping we'd get close up cuts to players or crowd/bench more often instead of almost always just lingering post whistle and fading to black post for next face off. (And to answer your question I'm not skipping anything).

    Thanks!

    Hello there.

Can you get a video of this? Just put it up somewhere it can be streamed and respond with a link. You should only be skipping those if you're hitting the button to do so. Just to make sure it's not controller related, do you have a different one you can try?

We are aware of the feedback for this. I'll pass yours on as well. Thanks!
