Diving Poke Checks Through Legs

It seems like in NHL 27 diving poke checks are not drawing penalties when they probably should and/or are are successful when they shouldn't be.

In the clip below ( there's two angles of the same play ) the defender chasing me down has his stick outside of my left leg.  When they dive for the poke check the stick phases through my leg and they're successful in knocking the puck away.

IMO one or more of the following should have happened instead:

  1. My leg physically stops his stick from reaching it's target.
  2. His stick phases through my leg but can't interact with the puck because of it.
  3. There's a tripping penalty.

Forgive the poor quality clip.  I only had a single intermission to get this as the overhead view didn't do it justice.

Thank you! I'll send this over to the team for investigation. Really appreciate grabbing that clip.

  • Oof! Yeah, I've not had a chance to play and I wanna make sure defense doesn't get nerfed too bad before i do... but that can't be happening either haha! I will say Larkin made a play like that last year or the year before.. it was amazing, but in a video game I'd rather see one of the three things you mentioned.
