EA wake up! Your last chance to increase sales.
Yes, that's right, it's the last week of NHL 27, it's long 'gold'(the deadline for creating the final version of the product). Yes, no major changes will be possible, there will be a few patches, that's for sure.
Yes, I played the beta and especially the offline mode. I can't give away the details, but what I'm writing now doesn't concern NHL 27. It concerns the NHL 27 trailer.
The developers have definitely done the most work this year, but was that work really useful? They modeled the crowds, but they forgot to fix the absolutely crazy thing where a player passes with a backhand just as well and quickly and accurately as with a forehand. Has an EA developer ever tried to pass with a backhand??? I've played hockey for 25 years and I know one thing for sure: the backhand pass is not for everyone. Ok, we won't change that, it's still in EA hockey. The second thing we won't change are the defenders, who stand 2 meters from the goal and don't push the attacker out of the zone in front of the goalie. Yes, I'm sure we won't change that either and it's never been in EA hockey before.
What I can say, but it's really annoying is the absolute lack of interest in changing it, or at least any mention of improving the foul judging in the game. EA is visibly ignoring it and there's no mention of it in any blog.
I believe that on September 6th I'll open NHL27 and download the 1st patch. I hope that the first foul I'll see will be high-sticking. In NHL 26 I still see a player moving the stick in front of his face, but I've never seen a high-sticking or hooking from a CPU player! It's sad that EA models entire arenas and puts in the effort to add all the coaches to the game. And they will invent whole new systems that may not work, but it was worth the effort. Authentic elements that everyone takes for granted are missing from the game.
Please write what you wish on 6.9. to finally appear in NHL 27. Thanks
