Ice Lighting Issue – Snow Accumulation Causes Overexposed Ice
I’m playing NHL 27 on PS5 Pro, and there seems to be a major issue with the ice lighting, especially once snow starts accumulating during gameplay.
As the period goes on and the ice gets more worn/snow-covered, certain areas become extremely bright and almost washed out. The white levels look blown out to the point where it can become distracting and harder to clearly see the puck, player details, and markings on the ice.
It doesn’t look like normal arena lighting or realistic snow buildup. It feels more like the lighting or HDR effect is overexposing the ice texture once the snow accumulation kicks in. I tried adjusting lighting and contrast, I’m playing on a very high end tv so it’s not the display quality, no issue with last year game or any other game.
The ice looks much more balanced when it’s fresh, but progressively becomes excessively bright during the period.
EA_Aljo I I’d really appreciate if the development team could look into the ice lighting/exposure and how it interacts with snow accumulation.
If you’re using any other camera then overhead it becomes pretty obvious
