Persistent Jersey, Pants and Player Model Clipping During Replays and Gameplay
There are several noticeable clipping issues with player models that significantly affect the visual quality and realism of NHL 27, particularly during replays, celebrations and player customization.
The most noticeable issue occurs during replays, where players’ pants visibly clip through their jerseys. This is especially apparent when players are moving, changing direction or being shown in close-up replay angles. There are also instances during post-goal celebrations and huddles where players’ arms visibly pass through one another rather than making natural contact.
Another major issue occurs when customizing player equipment and appearance. Giving players jersey tucks or increasing the size of their shoulder pads can cause the pants to become visible through the jersey. These clipping problems make player models look unnatural and undermine the realism that NHL 27 is otherwise trying to achieve.
Requested Fix:
Please improve the player model geometry, jersey physics and collision detection to prevent clothing and body parts from intersecting. Jersey positioning should properly adapt to different equipment configurations, including larger shoulder pads and jersey tucks, without exposing the pants through the jersey. Player interactions during celebrations and huddles should also be adjusted to prevent arms and other body parts from passing through each other.
These are recurring visual issues that are particularly distracting in a game where presentation, authentic player models and realistic animations are such an important part of the experience. Addressing them would make a noticeable difference in gameplay, replays and overall presentation.
Please investigate these clipping issues and consider them for a future gameplay and player-model update.
