NHL 27

he entire community is completely exhausted, sharing the exact same deep frustration year after year after year. We fire up a new release only to hit the exact same unmoving wall: your own goalie casually letting in back breaking soft goals while the opposing netminder stands on their head, alongside CPU defence who still skate like they are entirely lost on the ice.

It feels like we are stuck in a endless loop where the core gameplay doesn't feel any different at all. Instead of real improvements to the actual on-ice simulation, we are handed copy-paste mechanics that reward frantic, loose, north south arcade scrambles instead of authentic hockey IQ, positioning, and true tactical depth.

What makes it even more insulting is what EA chooses to focus on. Nobody in the community is asking for glossy marketing bullet points about new presentation packages, updated goal songs, or stadium atmosphere overhauls. We don’t care about superficial eye candy when the fundamental mechanics of the game are broken at its core.

The community is demanding genuine accountability and a complete shift in how this franchise is handled.

  • I get the frustration, but I do think NHL 27 made some improvements to the actual gameplay. The AI and positioning feel better to me so far. There are definitely still issues with goalies and CPU defense though, and those are areas I’d rather see continuously improved instead of just adding presentation features.
