Roster editing frustrations...
I've been preparing a roster file for a few weeks now, and I don't know why I bother sometimes. I like doing it, and I do believe that it makes the game more enjoyable for offline franchise mode.
Anyway, there are plenty of things that I don't understand, and if possible would like some answers to.
- Why is it not possible to chose the conditions of which to merge rosters? I've spent a lot of time on a roster now, and it would be lovely to merge it with the latest EA roster, to get the new added players and other fixes. I don't get why some of those fixes need to be tied to the roster file in the first place, instead of a separate patch. But in an ideal world, I would like to chose to merge with the latest roster, and to keep my own edits, but add new players that wasn't in my roster file before, so I can edit them and be done. Now I have to choose to either create the missing players myself, or start over... 🙄
- We still can't edit players fully, which would also be very handy for so many reasons. And if there's a good reason why we are still locked out from changing the players face, weight or height, but we still can change their handedness... I would love to read the reason. Must be very common that people want to change the handedness of established players. 😓
- I also wonder why it isn't possible to search for players in the active roster from the roster editing menu? Even though players are where you expect them to be most of the time, sometimes they are not and it would be very handy to be able to search and find them that way. Let's say you download a shared roster and the creator has hidden a player in a league somewhere for some reason, and you want to put the player back, but have no clue where the player is. Either you have to look through every league and team for the player, or create your own... which shouldn't be necessary.
I'm sure I've thought of more things, but hopefully someone can fill in something related to this that I forgot.
For now, I'm off to create my own Roger McQueen, without a photo...
