Severe Frame Rate Drops on PS5 Pro Since Pre-Launch Update

Ever since the last major update that was released shortly before the official launch of NHL 27, I’ve been experiencing severe and consistent frame rate drops on PS5 Pro.

The issue is especially noticeable during crowded scenes. It happens frequently in the corners when the camera pans toward several players at once, and it also seems to get worse when parts of the crowd are visible on screen.

This is not an occasional stutter. It happens throughout the entire game, from the opening faceoff until the end, and the gameplay can become extremely sluggish.

I’m playing on a PlayStation 5 Pro, so this level of performance is extremely disappointing for a current-generation sports game. The frame rate drops are bad enough that the constant stuttering and uneven motion can literally give me a headache after playing for a while.

The game did not feel nearly this bad before that major pre-launch update, which makes me think something introduced in that update significantly affected performance.

I really hope the development team is already investigating this. NHL 27 desperately needs a performance fix, especially on PS5 Pro, because the current frame rate issues seriously affect the gameplay experience.
