Start BAP in the NHL

Anyone know what happened to the “start in NHL” option for be a pro? Last year it showed up for new files after taking a save through the draft, but now it seems to not trigger even after doing that? I’ve tried actually playing through world juniors as well as just simulating through the draft to get it unlocked like before and neither has done anything.

I refuse to play for the Leafs as a Habs fan and forcing your destination during the draft interviews penalizes your ratings, not to mention going like 20th with a chosen destination after dominating WJC and memorial cup/CHL really crushes immersion. At least that UDFA route provided some semblance of immersion
