Still nothing for 2 buddies to play and compete in after 10 years

Many of us have a buddy or two we want to play online with and have no desire to play people we don't know..  This game still can't provide any avenue for us to compete against each other except play now!?  After 10 years at least?  Why can it not keep our stats or record against each other in any format?  Stats are what, a little text file? Year after year we can play 50 games and it's like it's the first game every time.  Stats and records are key...and you provide us none of it.  Now connected franchise needs 3 people? Gimme a break. First of all, that isn't what people have been asking for. We want a league where we can have say just 2 users but control multiple teams, not this crap where a different user needs to be on every team. Useless for many of us and not what we've been asking for. We'd even be happy with the option for a 2 user minimum just so we have SOMETHING other than play now.  How is this still a thing?  Ridiculous. Common sense people.
