Why do you guys keep removing servers?

Ea has removed the following server in: NHL26:

NA West-Central (Colorado, Denver)

NA East Coast (NYC)

NHL27:

NA East (Virginia)

NA South-Central (Texas)

NA North-Central (Minnesota)

How does making the online experience worse for all these people help grow the game in the states? I went from 20 ping in NHL26 to 50 ping in NHL27. How does forcing the entire East coast to play on the QC server make sense? Absolutely embarrassing how this game gets worse every year.

  • Yeah I live in massachusetts and after playing about 12 ranked games in hut the servers are terrible. Always connect to Canadian servers never under 20 ping its almost impossible to play and keep up with that. Lose the puck over every little bit of contact but opponents skate right through my pokes hits everything. Low level cards outskate my msps ai is oblivious and useless. Make NHL great again plzzzzzz cuz this isnt it

  • I'll second this. Amazing how this information is not presented ahead of time. It makes a massive difference with the already poor netcode that this game runs.

As an online player (CHEL) this is ridiculous and 100% creates advantages especially in QC where it was already ridiculous. The QC situation has long been discussed. I get that's a strong majority of the player base, but there are plenty of players elsewhere.

Certainly the best way to assure yourselves of a smaller player base is to eliminate servers that even the playing field for those in other markets. Self-fulfilling prophecy that. Why would anyone in the southern US even consider playing this game?
