Yup, I'm buying the same game again.

Disregarding all the new bugs in the beta, how about fixing the 6 years bugs, (or more).

All this is focused on EASHL 6vs6

Not being able to join the dressing room,

from joining your own club, through menu

from a PS invite

from a EA-connect invite, or joining via EA-connect friend

joining via a team mate in the PS chat-party

(Insane amount of times the room seams to be bugged and 1 or 2 ppl cant join however we try. After everybody leaves the room and re-enter it often works again.)

Not being able to find a game,

Randomly, our team get no games, and if we replace a player, this chance go up with 50 to 100%.

Lets say player A leaves, and player B join the dressing room, suddenly we don’t get matched and the whole community have different theories how to fix it.

We try to search 10 seconds as a private game with a password, (I use gggg, and have gotten games that way =), we change room-captain, we change other search parameters. Finally we give up and clear the lobby completely!

Crashing before the game starts,

we get matched with another team that seam to lack a players or two, we might lack a player or two, but this is just a visual bug those players often get visible after a while.

we loose a player before the 6 vs 6 screen where we see the other team names.

we loose a player when the rink comes in to view

Often the player with the problem, restarts EASHL, or try to go to main menu, or close the application, aka turn the game completely off or even restart his PS5. Here community have ideas too, like refreshing the license and other theories. Often we loose that player for the night. Same player can have a normal set of games the next night.

Random crashes during the game.

and finally

Server problems and matchmaking.

First off, hire a good programmer that make this game playable at higher ping-levels. Lets say write code that lessens the packet sizes of information or just make it less data transferred. Would be fantastic if you could play with at least the eastern seaboard of North America on even terms.

12 players from Sweden, Norway and/or Finland don’t want to play on Frankfurt server, (Central European server). As long as there is a majority of northerners we should end up on Stockholm server, North European server). And obviously, if I play with my French friends, and we are paired against a Slovakian team, we should end up on Frankfurt server.

Server settings are broken.

Last year EA failed to get the search parameters to work, like If I set "only local or best server" I could get a NA server anyway. So they disable the possibility to play transatlantic games. So now, even if I change this setting to "Any server" I only get Euro servers. Normally you never want to play vs NA cos of the "horrendous" ping but sometimes when your having really fun with your mates, probably drunk in the wee morning hours, and there is no more teams to play against in Europe you would like to have the option.

This is really easy to fix.

Make a server list.

Have a toggle next to every server.

like this:

<table>

<tr><td>Europe North, Stockholm, 6ms</td><td><strong>YES</strong></td></tr>

<tr><td>Europe Central, Frankfurt, 27ms</td><td><strong>NO</strong></td></tr>

<tr><td>North America North East, 200ms</td><td><strong>NO</strong></td></tr>

<tr><td>North America East</td><td><strong>NO</strong></td></tr>

<tr><td>North America Central</td><td><strong>NO</strong></td></tr>

<tr><td>North America North Central</td><td><strong>NO</strong></td></tr>

<tr><td>North America South Central</td><td><strong>NO</strong></td></tr>

<tr><td>North America South East</td><td><strong>NO</strong></td></tr>

<tr><td>North America West</td><td><strong>NO</strong></td></tr>

<tr><td>North America North West</td><td><strong>NO</strong></td></tr>

<tr><td>North America West Central</td><td><strong>NO</strong></td></tr>

<tr><td>Asia-Pacific</td><td><strong>NO</strong></td></tr>

</table>

Preferably with a ping next to them, but only ping the servers when you enter this screen. You could have a ping-slider instead, where you move the slider to a ping that you accept to play at, lets say 20 ms, and this would obviously block all servers over this threshold.

The room captain should have this power. Any GM in a club should be able to set your clubs default setting, in my case, Stockholm only. And at the end of the night whoever is the room-captain could open up the Frankfurt server if we having problems finding games.

This would make it easy to accept more servers when you get desperate or you want to play with friends from far away and you accept the bad ping.

<strong>PLEASE fix these issues first, then we can set our teeth in to gameplay problems....</strong>

  • I was thinking about the same thing during EASHL play test!

The only thing I could think of for why they wouldn't want to is something to do with letting people know their server locations. I thought I heard something about that. Still doesn't make much sense to me.
