tried to have xbox capture this 2 minute video of the first period in the first game after the juniors championship win and trying for next level of tournament - just dies after 2 minute - the website will not allow me to share the MP4 file here.

Which console are you on? Both offer a function for capturing the previous 30 seconds or so.
