Can you try switching to a wire to see if it makes a difference?

no router on first floor while the consoles are on the second

That's definitely a recipe for a bad connection. I'd still recommend a powerline adaptor, but if you want to see if a wired connection will help, it would be good to move close enough to use a wire just as a test. If that improves it, the adaptor should help.

This is what's happening 

You refuse to upgrade the engine, refuse to do anything about the abysmal menus, basically do absolutely nothing year over year about silly, basic issues…THE LEAST YOU COULD DO WAS KEEP YOUR  SERVERS UP… ARE YOU KIDDING ME WITH THIS
