Dunno how long it’s been like this but at least 4 years. All of the other lines move up or down based on performance but the PK just seems to go down. Doesn’t matter how many you kill before it drops so low you never see ice time. Figured I’d get the yearly post about this started for posterity’s sake.

The line score glitch is present yet again. Likely due to copying and pasting a majority of your game code every year.Possibly due to you literally recoding the same stupid mistakes.Either way there's no way to be on the penalty kill in be a pro. 100% defense in a game where my team gets a shout-out. I blocked 5 shots. Negative score for the pk line which clearly should have been a significant positive score..this lack of attention to any amount of detail is indefensible for such a massive company.No mans sky was built by a team of like 18 people and while it was awful at launch, they actually fixed it Ea Vancouver has from what i understand, 1300 people. You don't even make a new game you just copy the old on, glitches and all, and change a few minor details.You guys really need to hold yourselves accountable.You are not doing a good job and it shows

your exactly right. I'm sick of the same old glitches and mistakes with this game. what they need to do is make two games... one for online only and one for Be A Pro only because they only work on the online portion every year and I don't play online. I wish everyone who only plays BaP would not buy this game until they fix it the right way cause I might not buy it next time it comes out and I love hockey. what they do in this game is nothing like their real counterparts. I do understand that there are SOME things that happens in real life that you can't do in a game but come on!!! if the computer opponent AI can do it so can my teammate AI which they don't. and like I said in a previous post, if someone can blow out the computer AI every game on superstar then so be it but most cannot (like me). that's why they should only go by the player attributes and stats instead of stupid game sliders which don't work anyway. if an 78-80 overall can do the same moves, poke check with the same accuracy, and shoot the same as a 85-95 overall then something is seriously wrong with this game. tired of getting frustrated every year

@johum2886 Imagine being a selke trophy winner and not ever playing on the PK lol… Be a Pro was way better before they changed it to what it is now…Old Be a Pro: played in Juniors for a (few) season(s) until you were draft age.. then got drafted based on how you played… you were rewarded for your efforts.. you proved you were good enough to be drafted in the first round.. or top 10..Or maybe you struggled.. maybe your second junior season wasn’t as good as your first.. maybe you fell to the second round.. or third.. or even further.. but a team still took a chance and picked you..Now you have your opportunity to prove yourself.. work hard in the preseason.. but you’re not going to bump players like Pastrnak, Matthews, Scheifle, etc down a line.. that’s ridiculous.. maybe you’ll make the 3rd or 4th line.. or get sent back to the juniors.. until you can show you are NHL ready…You get injured and it tells you what happened, and how long you’ll be out for.. a teammate gets injured and you’re given an update on them too..New Be a Pro: you play 4ish games.. score 1 goal, and you get picked first overall, by the same team each time… you get thrown into the NHL as a 70ovr player.. you bump players from the first line like Pastrnak, Kane, Stone, Panarin, etc… each season your team is blown up and roster is completely different… you have teams that are 20M over the salary cap.. teams that are 20M under the salary floor.. nothing makes sense… and then you’re awarded the C immediately.. stripped it from a leader and given to a nobody..you win the Selke despite never playing on the PK.. you get challenges from your coach.. you meet the requirements but still somehow fail..you get injured but have no idea what happened and how long you’ll be out for…You get called a rookie and are in the running for the Calder trophy every year… even with 300+ games under your belt..The old Be a Pro wasn’t perfect by any means.. but the biggest issue.. was being sent down because you simmed games.. if you simmed games the coach would demote you lines/send you down.. even with the sim line penalty option OFF.. that really was the biggest issue…If EA reverted Be a Pro back to the old version.. but kept the X factors, conversations&challenges, (if they worked properly, which they don’t) and line scores (if they worked properly.. which they don’t lol) then Be a Pro would be great.. also kept small things like request trade.. interviews etc… but everything else was the old Be a Pro.. much more realistic and immersive.. a lot less gimmicky and hand holding…

@Neolink78 @jprovo1 @unhappycustomer The team has this logged on their end. Hopefully we get a fix for it this year. We did notice it was reported in a thread from NHL 21 and highlighted it's still existing on the new engine. Thank you for raising this to us.

To be fair i have submitted trouble tickets, been in contact with customer support for Months and even filed a BBB complaint about this issue just to get this message.Ive been at it for the past month.This is not a complicated fix and its been in 2 games.Good on you for replying though

@johum2886 Oh yes absolutely you are right…
NHL 20 Be a Pro was just mediocre at best, in the ps4 generation… but NHL 14 is by far the best… and has only gone downhill since..
I tried playing NHL 20 yesterday just to test a few things out for a guy asking about it.. but it wasn’t as good as I remembered… memories get warped by nostalgia… haven’t had a good NHL game in nearly a decade lol..

@Neolink78 Sorry to necro this thread, but I felt that it's important to let everyone know:

PK line score is gained or lost by giveaways and takeaways.

It's important to manage the puck and not turn it over. If you can be safe with the puck, and take away the puck more then you give it away; you'll gain PK line score.

So, try not to force passes, lose the puck and opposing team recovers, etc. and take away the puck by stick lifts, bump/check and recover puck, etc.
