Be a Pro Mode - I Keep Getting Sent Down to the AHL Despite my Performance

While playing Be a Pro Mode, my player keeps getting sent down to the AHL every few weeks. I'm #1 in the league in goals and points, I meet every performance marker, and I successfully complete almost every coach's tip that pops up.  Four times now I've been sent down to the Gulls and absolutely wrecked every team we play until I'm dominating the AHL too- then, if I'm lucky, I'll get called back up after a few weeks. 
Any enjoyment I got out of this game is lost, because every time I get sent down and then called back up, I have to start from the fourth line and get like 30 seconds of ice time and attempt to re-impress my coach. I've literally stopped playing the game because I was stuck with the Gulls, playing almost a full * 60 minutes of game time for little or no benefit. 
I'm not the only one who has this issue, I've heard it from a lot of other people. What's going on??
