I don't have 22, but in 21 it would pick your training for you unless you simmed on the calendar. I would always make sure to sim to Sunday, back out, and choose my training. This was really tedious during the off-season. During the season if the game you played was in a Thursday and your next game was on Tuesday I would always stop on Sunday.
So I just hit 20-22 games I picked my team so no memorial cup it's early December I think so late Sept till early dec I'm gonna call it around ten weeks I don't remember exactly but I think week to week my points breakdown has been something like
5/0/1/0/1/0/1/0/6/4
