Can't Hire New AHL Head Coach

Product: NHL 21
Platform:Sony Playstation 4
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? 1. Fire a poor coach 2. Promote someone to AHL Head Coach (because you can't leave the screen without doing so, and you don't have the concept of "interim coach") 3. Offer a contract to a new coach 4. "I was going to accept your contract offer, but the role you offered is already filled" 5. /faceplam
What happens when the bug occurs? You fail to hire a coach.
What do you expect to see? A coach hired. The ability to place coaches in appropriate roles in order to hire a coach.
Was the issue in online or offline mode? Offline

Come on, man.  This is a really stupid WTF on your part.  But, I guess if we don't keep logging the stupidity for you, you're definitely never going to do anything about it.

If we have to wait days for coaches to decide on our offer, and if we have to have coaches in roles as the days go by, how we can ever then properly fill the roles, if this is what happens?

I could have left auto-staff-management on, I suppose, but would the CPU ever fire a coach that's like 4-16? Combined with the fact that my players don't develop (another bug, of course), this guy had to go. Coaches get fired mid-season, man. Make it work.

What's the point to Franchise Mode, if you can't "be a franchise"?  When you can't develop players year to year (bug)? When you can't manage staff (bug)? When you can't manage contracts (CHL, bug; players asking for too much money based on stats they don't get to keep, bug)? When AI GM logic has zero grip on reality, inevitably tied to making your new "feature" (trade deadline) work (bug)?

We don't want to swim in the microtransaction online gamer cesspool. We're hockey fans and want a realistic hockey experience.

    @davehoehn970 They never confirm anything. I wouldn’t hold your breath, friend. I doubt it’ll be addressed on nhl 22. They made sad “additions” to FM this year (they really didn’t add anything except endless bugs that make the game pointless)

    I’d suggest going back to nhl 20 and sticking to that for this year and next.

    And when the next instalment gets released, I would NOT buy it at launch. Don’t pay full price for this rip off garbage.
    Check out what other players say about it (don’t go by what EA says, they just throw down tons of false promises and don’t follow through with them)
    And maybe if the players say it’s ok, grab it for minimum half off

    I know... just another frustrating day of garbage penalties being called in game for no reason, with no explanation, leading to another flurry of useless requests for updates.

    @davehoehn970 I feel you man. I’ve been on here since october, trying to get answers, without getting anything. I’ve been banned a few times, and I’ve been constantly trying to get any information, and I haven’t gotten anything. I definitely get the frustration

    I’m so happy someone else has reported this so I can get on here and say this EXACT thing JUST happened to me. It’s *. I’m trying to better my AHL team by having just fired my C rating Head Coach and replacing him with a B- Head Coach instead. 
    However, I can’t do that because coaches don’t just accept offers immediately like the help/advice/answers to common questions online act like happens, saying “if they accept, then they fill the slot, if they don’t, then try again, etc...” EA is pathetic for allowing this to continue to happen and having not fixed it yet and now we’re three months away from NHL 22.

    It really sucks.
