I have the latest update (1.40) downloaded, as well as the latest roster file (January 26, 2022) that includes all of the IIHF international teams' rosters. I was hoping that I could include some of those players (including women players) in my custom teams, as well as Franchise Mode. But I can't since the option is not there to use those players anywhere else than Play Now and IIHF Tournament mode.

Edit player, no option to edit international teams.

Edit lines, no option to select IIHF World Championship, IIHF Women's World Championship, and IIHF World Junior Championship. Just the default International teams.

Player movement, no option to select IIHF World Championship, IIHF Women's World Championship, and IIHF World Junior Championship. Just the default International teams.

Captain And Jerseys, no option to select IIHF World Championship, IIHF Women's World Championship, and IIHF World Junior Championship. Just the default International teams.

Create A Team, no option to select IIHF World Championship, IIHF Women's World Championship, and IIHF World Junior Championship. Just the default International teams.

As of right now, the IIHF players are completely useless to me, like if they weren't there in the first place. Since I expected to use these players in my own personal custom rosters.

@milan0202 IIHF tournament rosters are locked, so you can’t add, remove, or edit anyone on those rosters.

This is due to licensing and not a bug. Moving your post to the suggestion board.

Lol, thanks now *I* look like I was the one saying this was a bug.

their overall rating needs to be good enough for your player to be in the line-up. but like someone else said you can't edit those IIHF teams. another fun way to play is use player lock in exhibition games. it's sort of like BE A PRO. scroll to RW or whatever position you play.

Well, I guessed that it was a license problem.

Sadly the one in EA who made the deal with IIHF have never played offline.... ☹️

The IIHF licence should be about using the jerseys and the right to use logos and name of the offical tournaments, not about locking players and making the modes unplayable...

in FIFA you can create Champions League tournament of your own with teams that you choose and mostly you can edit the lineups before the tournament.

So please make it right and playable to NHL 23!! (and you are of course welcome to surprise us with the change in NHL 22 too...)

I understand if we can't use real national team logos or jersey styles but , why use of players is also forbidden. Dear EA Sports we want use players which are in IIHF men's or junior world championships in the team creation. There is many players which can be found only IIHF world championship or junior world championship line-up's. For example we can't choice Owen Power or Stephane Da Costa to our own teams. EA Sports can you do something that , in future we could use out own teams players which found from IIHF men's-, womens- and junior world championships. Also same problem is in Spengler Cup , we could use all other teams players in team creation but not players of Team Canada. EA Sports your have a lot of offline players, which like teams- and players creation. Listen to these players !!

@EA_Blueberry If not making the IIHF players accessible for other use because of licensing. But when using the power of Create A Player, we can perfectly recreate those players, and use them in any situation we wish. So doesn't that defeat the whole purpose of having them locked? Just saying.

Well, all we are missing are the actual player likenesses. But every other detail can be perfectly replicated in Create A Player.

@Mickelraven   This is good point. I hope that we can use in future all players which can be found at game in team creation. Now we can't use Team Canada (Spengler Cup) players in team creation also we can't use all players which take part World Junior-, men's ice hockey championships when we create own teams. Hopefully this fix in the future and we can use players of Team Canada and all players which take part of world junior - and men's championships in team creation.
