As ive said, In the audio output section of the screen and output section in the system settings of PS4, it is selected as linear PCM.

Community ManagerOK thanks. Can you reboot your PS4 in safe mode and then choose option 5, Rebuild Database. This will scan for file based issues and can fix errors.
That process can take a very long time so maybe start that late in the day and let it process overnight. Do let us know if this helps.
Hi Barry, I did so this morning upon your advice and it did not help. Announcers and commentators are still mute.
It coincided with a new TV I bought. I no longer have the old TV to do an A/B test. I hear all the other noises and sounds just fine.....
