Controller disconnects mid game and when trying to reconnect cant do anything

When I playing hut rivals my controller gets disconnected and can rejoin game to move players. Only this game this does it for

Xbox series x and I’m using the Xbox elite controller.

Thanks for the response. I assume you've got the latest firmware update? I know those Elite controllers warn you when it's out of date. To check to be sure, go to Settings > Devices & connections > Accessories. Also, do you have another controller you can try as a test?

    Yes I checked and no update only happens for nhl
