I posted this in the NHL 21 thread about a month ago but the game was practically dead by that point, figured putting it in 22 might have better luck of devs seeing it. This is nothing gameplay related at all, just simple cosmetic ideas I have. I think these would go a long way in helping players and teams look different and unique. Nothing goalie related as I dont play it.Create Player/Edit Player - Offline/EASHL :Helmet - Thin visor. Long hair can actually flow out the back and sides.Gloves - Changing the palm colour of your gloves to match one of your teams' colours and it would look even better on teams that wear plain black gloves (Pastrnak has yellow ones, Giroux used to use orange ones but idk if he still does), no cuff rolls on the gloves (Kaprizov)Jerseys - Rolled up sleeves, elbow pads showing.Sticks - Shorter stick for slightly better puckhandling and release, normal length for normal stats, longer for slightly better pokechecking/defensive stick. Different curves and flexes. Able to change the colour of the stick to match my teams colours, or any generic colour. (Similar to how Bauer has different coloured options and Matthews used a custom coloured CCM stick) Add in team logo or a country's flag onto a part of the stick. Spray Paint the bottom of the stick white or black. Namebars that have your Be a Pro character's name.Tape Jobs - Add in some different tape jobs on the handle and blade (Letang, Giroux, Stueztle, Pastrnak for the handle and Pastrnak, Klima, Gusev, Lindros, Sharp, Fiala, Orr, Panarin, Kaliyev for the blade just to name a few.) Able to have puck marks on the stick like Kane or Ovi.Pants - White string hanging like Ovi or Stamkos.Skates - Able to have the floppy white felt tongues, change colours of the skate. Bring back the blade radius options.EASHL - Please just have all the gear unlocked from the start. If you keep the jerseys, pants, etc in the bags at least make it so that you have better odds to pull your favourite team's items.Be A Pro :- Let me change what I'm wearing in cutscenes for be a pro, even if it's just the WOC clothing.- Choose my number when I get to whatever team drafts me/(re)signs me, even if the number I want isn't retired or taken. So if I want to switch from my old number I can.Create a Team - Offline/EASHL :Implementing your own logos and designs and have it for jerseys, logos, pants, socks, helmets. Make it offline only if you're worried about people putting in explicit material, or add a filter and report system.Logos - Add in teams logos from every league in the game and make them customizable. Add in historic ones that can be found on the old jerseys. Also add more of the customizable ones and country's flags.Jerseys - Add in the ability to fully customize the jerseys like change the striping on the front, and sides, the shoulders, and the neckline. Instead of copying a jersey completely. Lettering on the front like wordmarks, etc. Also more fonts.Socks - Matching socks. If you're going to add in jerseys, add in socks that match.Gloves - Have an option for a set glove (everyone is wearing the same one like in the CHL) in your EASHL club, even if they don't have it unlocked yet.Helmets - Designs on helmets similar to what some NCAA teams do. Have a few different striping patterns and put it down the middle of the helmet. Add in metallic colours for helmets, like the Vegas helmets and the LA Kings Stadium Series ones.Mascot - Add back turning off the mascot.Arena - Add in more arenas, and medium sized arenas in Create a Team.Crowd - Customize how your crowd looks, a whiteout like Winnipeg, C of Red, or maybe you want a crowd that chants, waves flags, has huge banners etc. like an authentic European one. (Have the fans be realistic too when chanting and booing, and have the crowd actually react when I score in a game, instead of only celebrating if its in the final minute.)Bonus :Historic Arenas - Add in historic arenas such as the Montreal Forum, Maple Leaf Gardens, Boston Garden, Joe Louis Arena, LA Forum, Rexall Place, etc.Add in European and CHL (OHL, WHL, QMJHL) arenas, or at least have some preset ones so they look different.

Some old NHL PC games had an option to create own leagues with 6, 12, 14 or whatever number of teams. It would be a really cool feature: you could play Original Six seasons, for example.

@olavi4 Amazing ideas. Since my last post was too long, I thought I'd add my own idea(s) along with yours, and others here regarding the creation zone/customization.I have a suggestion concerning in-game crowds, and what the fans wear for custom teams, compared to fans for preset teams.Take a look at this crowd for the preset Pittsburgh Penguins.As you can see, it looks pretty normal. Everyone is wearing a created jersey, a well-designed hoodie, T-Shirt, etc.The crowd isn't very colorful, which is a good thing. There is a great amount of variety in the merchandise that everyone is wearing. Also, the jerseys that are mainly yellow are spread out widely across the crowds, instead of being half an inch apart. It adds realism to the game, along with the already amazing game graphics.Now, take a look at this custom team crowd.As you can see here, the crowd is very colorful looking, which doesn't often look very good with specific team colors. Also, the majority of the fans are wearing complete and utter nonsense. There is no variety in this custom crowd, like there is in an NHL crowd. Everyone is practically wearing the same thing. There is pretty much yellow everywhere. (The Pittsburgh Penguins logo also is not showing up. It is represented as a differently colored Ducks logo.)Here's a wider view of the absurd amount of color, and lack of detail in the fan "merchandise".As a person who likes everything to be clean-looking, this usually throws me off in-game. Just like preset teams, (NHL teams, per say), I think it would be a good idea to also give custom team fans a choice to wear the actual active jersey(s) of the team in games.For example, if I give my custom team a designed New York Rangers home, away, and reverse retro uniform, fans should randomly choose between those 3 jerseys, just as they do in NHL team games. In addition to this, we should get the option to add extra uniforms and logos to our team, because, in my opinion, 3 uniforms and logos just aren't enough.For example, Home, Away, Alternate, 2nd Alternate, 2nd Home, 2nd Away, Heritage, Anniversary, etc.Same from above applies. They should randomize it every game for custom teams, where random custom fans will randomly choose to wear a random jersey out of all the uniforms. Once again, this adds realism to the game, and it will look better with the amazing graphics.Plus, for custom teams in Franchise Mode, wouldn't the "Set Prices" option be pointless? If I can set the price for a home jersey, or away jersey, or star jersey, then why don't custom team fans actually wear it in-game? I find that a large waste of time. I can understand, star jerseys may be a little harder to code than regular jerseys, especially the numbers, and nameplate of said superstar. I discovered that in Be A Pro, fans will start to wear jerseys with your player's name and number on it if you do really good. I really think that fans for custom teams should be able to do that too. To sum this up, I think that the crowds for custom teams should focus less on team colors to determine merchandise, and more on what their team's actual jerseys are, just like NHL teams.P.S. - Although making my team's colors black, yellow, black (main colors are yellow, black, yellow) makes the crowd look better, I don't want to have to change my team's colors just so the crowd looks more real. I want it where I can keep my team's colors the same without impacting the merchandise that is worn.I re-created all 32 NHL teams for my own enjoyment and fun, that is why I am suggesting that this be added into the game. (You can see the Pittsburgh Penguins logos in the picture above)I have been dreaming about this being in-game since NHL 20, so, I really hope that this gets added, or gets taken into consideration. :D

Also I would like to see the option to create national teams in the create a team mode. Instead of having to choose city name + team name, make it possible to simply name the team "Team Sweden" or whatever. Basically my idea is when you go into create a new team the game asks you if you want to create an NHL team, a minor league team, a european league team, or a national team and depending on which option you choose you get appropriate options in terms of arena models and such, and like I said the team name format. For international and euro teams you get international size rinks, and for minor league you get minor league arenas etc..

Here’s my suggestions:1. All jerseys that are in the game should have a template.2. All pants that are in the game should have a template.3. All socks that are in the game should have a template.4. All logos that are in the game should have a template.5. Because roster sharing has been added, they need to add all the older goalie equipment and masks that have been removed so we can make accurate Alumni teams.6. Allow us to change the head model, eyes, hair and facial hair of any unscanned player.7. Allow us to create players without helmets.8. A goalie mask editor needs to be added. This is simple. Give us like 8-10 mask designs with color zones and allow us to put a logo on it.9. Allow us to input player salaries with the pop-up key board. 10. A generic player search engine is needed so we don’t have to scan through every team in the game looking for players.I’ll stop at 10 for now.

Create a player/team
How is it EA still requires matte faces and no user face imports? This was a thing in NHL 2000 for pc, 21 years ago! And the tech has gotten worse? NBA2K and 2K sports has a facial import app plus you can import your own created team logos. It's not perfect but far better than what EA offers currently. Time to start competing again and update modes from what they've been over the past decade. EA you can do better. Let's make a franchise that's already great better.

Posted this in the old forum but I would love for there to be a way to toggle player handedness in the game lobby. That way I don't need to create identical left and right shooting builds and take up two build slots unnecessarily.

- customs logos - create goalie mask -design your goalie equipment -design your own jersey - fully customize and create and edit players in franchise mode. Meaning nothing is greyed out you can change attributes appearance weight height everything. Example 2k my NBA mode that should be how you model your ability for fully customizing your league.we should have the ability to do what ever we want and create whatever type of super fantasy or super realistic league we want.- no pre set color location when designing your jersey, pants , socks etc.- be able to enter to RGB codes into the color wheel.- when adjusting attributes we should have the ability to scroll down or up on the overall to adjust all attributes at once. Example if you rise it to the maximum your player will be 99 in all categories without having to adjust each category for the same result.

We are going to have to add in a new sorting option in play-by-play names. L2 changes letters, R2 should change regions - so we can narrow down the names to Irish, Scottish, English, French, German, Italian, Polish, Russian, Ukrainian, African, Chinese, Japanese, Indian, etc. The giant boost in a number of names is a very, very good thing, but the sorting option allows for better maintenance while dealing with it before the inevitable complaints about how much scrolling before you get to Thomas.

@GKSKatowicePL Idk how to do that but certainly merge them. Also playoff beards and mouthpieces were a great addition...but how do you feature Alex Ovetchkin on 21 but don't give players the ability to customize teeth? Missing teeth is almost a rite of passage for hockey players. I vote EA add this as a customization!
