Good Morning,Over the last couple months I have been having a serious issues with input delay and lag spikes. My ping at times can be very inconsistent and when I do get the lag spikes it does not show in the network performance graph.Its not every night but most nights I have this issue. To clarify by lag spikes I mean the game freezes like I am lagging out, then a solid 2-3 seconds goes by and then it fast forwards to catch up. I am hard wired directly to my router.Below is a trace rt to ohio server IP.Does anything look out of the ordinary?

Hi there, @WayneKenov2233. All those timeouts are not good. That's most likely the problem. Can you run a UO Trace and screenshot me the results? Instructions are here: https://help.ea.com/en/help/faq/connection-troubleshooting-basic/. Also, are you on a wired or wireless connection?

@EA_AljoThanks for the quick response.I can definitely do that. Do you want me to use the easo.ea.com as the destination or the ohio server again?Also I am hardwired directly to the router.

@WayneKenov2233 Use the location closest to you. That's good you're wired. It's definitely better than wireless. Also, you should power cycle your equipment with the following steps: unplug your modem, router and console. After 2 minutes plug in the modem and router. Let them come back online completely. Then plug in your console and start it up. If you haven't done this in a while, that may take care of it.

@EA_Aljo Every now and then I will do a full reset of modem and router and it can fix my ping for a bit but the input lag is still prevalent.I used the EA NHL Ohio server IP since I don't know any of the other IP addresses.Thanks You

@EA_Aljo I am on an xbox one x. There isn't an issue with the variance between highs and lows of the ping? Would that cause the lag spikes?

The variance is normal and the worst ping isn't over 100 so you should be fine. Lag spikes re normally caused when your worst gets a lot higher and there's packet loss. I'd like you to try clearing your alternate MAC address with these steps:

Go to your Xbox One Settings (Just press Start, then click Settings)
Go to "Network", then "Advanced Network Settings"
Click on "Alternate MAC Address", and then click "Clear"

Let's see if that helps.

@EA_AljoI have done that a couple times before. I made sure to go over the forum threads with similar issues and try their fixes.

Here is an example of the type of lag spike I see usually once/twice a game and it usually happens in 2 out of every 3 games I play.

Button delay is very bad after recovering from the spike but eventually goes back to normal (still delayed).
