Extend contract of players with 0 years left on old contract.

Product: NHL 19
Platform:Sony Playstation 4
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I started franchise mode and, as a Toronto-fan I want to extend William Nylanders contract. But it is not possible! All I can do is trade for asset. I guess it's the same things as with other players that have 0 years left on their contract, but get the salary of their 18/19 season. Haven't tried it on any other player in a similar situation, but it works fine with Matthews, Marner and Gardiner (as it should).
What happens when the bug occurs? I can't extend a contract that should be possible to extend.
What do you expect to see? The option to extend the contract!
Was the issue in online or offline mode? Offline
Insert Game Mode or Feature here Franchise mode
What time did you see the bug? (HH:MM AM/PM) 01:17 AM
What is your time zone? ECT - GMT + 1:00
What is your gamertag/PSN ID? Tobbish

What is your game language? English

The image shows as upside down for me here, but it isn't on my phone. Anyway, you can see that Nylanders contract can't be extended. Should be a Yes or No under the EXT, but there isn't.

Just means he’s not ready for extension yet. Not a bug really

Why wouldn’t he be ready for an extension? He should just be an RFA who needs to sign to play this 18/19 season. And even if there was one year left on his entry-level contract, giving him offers should be possible.

I haven’t checked what happens at the end of the season, but the point is still that he shouldn’t be able to play the season with a 895k cap hit, because he doesn’t have a cap hit.

All players who have one year left should have a Yes or No about their interest. That Nylander (and I assume other players in the same situation) doesn’t have that can’t be because ”he’s not ready”. Given the right offer he should be ready... but when the only option is to ”Trade for asset”, it just makes him play a contract he doesn’t have. If Nylander plays this season without a contract, I would be very surprised!
