Because EA has yet to add True goalie gear (and I refuse to use their pathetic excuse of a placeholder), I always edit my goalies equipment before the start of a season, yet seemingly most of the time, I neve see it in game action. This is because the system automatically changes it to a default colour pattern for that equipment set. If it went to the fake True gear, that would be one thing, but it doesn't even do that

@johum2886 It’s been an issue in the game for a few years now. Unless the goalies have “keep colours when traded” turned on, they switch to a stupid looking pallet by year 2 of franchise mode.

The solution to this for EA is to have the option to either select specific colours for each zone or be able to pick current team colour 1, current team colour 2, etc… for zones.

This would also correct the issue of players having their butt end or sock tape as the colour of their team and keeping that colour when traded to a team with completely different colours

  • @kyl_35 or... hear me out on this: add the True goalie gear and just put the colour input from the edit player screen as the visual output in the gameplay!

But yes, the team colour 1/2 would drastically simplify this, especially for skaters (who I always just give clear tape because I have never seen anyone use any other colour than the sock in my life)

@johum2886 Yeah True gear needs to be in the game, but I’m just talking specifically about the colour issue. I don’t think the team default colours match what the actual goalies have anymore anyway.
