How often does the bug occur? Every time a trade is made in season mode

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves?

I play as Calgary, but I'm not sure that matters.  I play 5 or 10 games and then try to make a trade that mimics real life.  The last set involved the Kings/Leafs swap of Moore for Clifford and Campbell.  To make the trade I signed a random free agent goalie to Ontario of the AHL and kept him as "free agent" status.

The time before this I cannot remember exactly the players but I did not bring anyone out of free agency.

Complete your trades and then try to play the next game.

 
What happens when the bug occurs?

There is a horrible noise, almost like an old school modem ring that lasts a few seconds then your are booted back to the home screen.  You can re-enter the game and re-enter your season, which still has the trades made, but cannot play or sim past the next game without the same buzz and crash back to home screen.

What do you expect to see?

I'd expect to be able to make trades (preferably without the 'less than two playable goalies' error that seems to be a continuing issue and then be able to continue playing in that season.
