I think this warrants it’s own thread topic.. we want the edit players function to be unlocked for us.. and not just the basics but everything unlocked please. It makes no sense why it was removed. It would allow us to fix the generated prospects because their attributes, position and play style are always so chaotic. you get a prospect that is a sniper.. centre, who’s 6’6, 235lbs, with high body checking, aggressiveness, def awareness, strength stats.. but low off awareness, skating, puck skills, face offs.. this clearly should be a grinder and winger but we can’t change it..and for the players that are into super realism.. young NHL players grow.. some might still grow an inch.. but mostly, players get beefy.. they train. They go from 6’1 175lbs to 6’1 195lbs of muscle and we can’t edit their strength attributes, or their weight so it reflects properlyand let’s not forget that EA themselves also incorrectly lists players heights/weights.. and even positions. so let us fix it. It just doesn’t make sense that the edit player was removed.. and never have got an answer from the EA letting us know why please unlock edit player and allow FULL customization at start of save file, mid season, 15 seasons in.. just fully unlock it

@EA_Blueberry specifics I want back/in addition;- full control over editing players (equipment, name, nationality, attributes, potential, positions, player type, handedness, appearance, everything) at all times during franchise mode (in edit player screen, and when viewing mock drafts). I am fine with some of these being locked, so long as the player actually exists and has everything correctly inputted (i.e. no incorrect skin colours, ages, heights, weights, etc.), if this can't be done then everything needs to be open. Please just make it like it is in Madden and everything will be fine (at the very least, in terms of this)What I don't want to see;- what we have had previously where you can only edit positions and maybe player type

I understand that EA's way of playing Franchise Mode is different than ours, but my goodness that is not a reason to ruin everyone's experience in Franchise. Drafting 5'8" 150 pound centers who are enforcers and have 70 faceoffs and the bare minimum physicality attributes is 1) not an acceptable player generation and 2) should be changed to a winger and at the very least a 2-way forward. But we can't do that because EA wants us to play their game their way. Does editing players mid season allow us to cheat a little bit? Yes it does, but it also helps us very partially fix the disgusting product that EA regurgitates every year for us offline players.

I really don't know why the ability to edit basic things were removed (positions being the main thing). If this feature was going to be changed, it should have been enhanced for us to edit everything (attributes, name, height/weight, nationality), but that is not what happened. This should be in the next patch, regardless of what EA has decided. Many of the consumers want it back, so we should have it back, and if you don't want to use it, simply don't use it.

@heavydutyrammer I'd love to know the real reason why it was removed. I don't understand why they don't give us the ability to fix little things like that for them, why will they not want help from the community so they can spend these resources elsewhere?
