Getting Stuck on Wall Behind Net

Product: NHL 20
Platform:Microsoft XBOX One
How often does the bug occur? Rarely (0% - 9%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? It will happen when skating behind the net of either team. It’s only happened when I haven’t had the puck so far. It seems to happen when you are chasing the puck when it is close by to you and the net.
What happens when the bug occurs? I skate behind the net and when I’m clearly not touching the boards or net my player seems to act like he’s stuck on something invisible. After watching some videos of it happening, he will glide towards the wall and start skating in place
What do you expect to see? A smooth transition from one side to the other behind the net. When your not touching anything.
Was the issue in online or offline mode? Online
Insert Game Mode or Feature here EASHL. It’s happened in Clubs and drop-in games. I went to practice mode to recreate what happens and it happened there too.
What time did you see the bug? (HH:MM AM/PM) 11-16-19 PM 6:00
What is your time zone? EST (IET) - GMT - 5:30

    @TTZ_Dipsy Thanks for pointing out that wasn't an AI player in the first video. The yellow was tough to see. Sorry about that. Anyway, there is no bubble around the net. It has to do with how physics are handled with a complex, fixed object and how the velocity of the player is updated when colliding with it. This is something the NHL dev team is looking to improve. This also used to happen against the boards when your player would sort of bounce off them. That was improved a lot so you don't see it now. Nets are more complex though.

    No worries, @rebbieh1. I think the videos that were posted detail it pretty well. It's something I've had happen to myself. Not super common just due to how I play, but it's still an issue. I gave a more detailed description in a previous post of why this occurs. The plan is to improve it over time.

    Are you saying your players get stuck behind the net and the only thing that fixes it is to call a timeout?

    Yes Im in the same boat as you.. Play on ps4 with gamertag omega82sega. Happens online for me to, only mode I play, rivals and Hut champ. Hope for a fix!

    Thanks. I saw you also post this in the official forums. If they turn away from the net, they'll be able to continue skating. It looks like they're trying to skate through the net. Was this an AI player?

    Blueberry said to continue posting in here with more videos. That was my character in EASHL - You can move up and around but will basically take as much time as trying to just power directly down like I did.

    It doesn't matter all that much in the grand scheme of things but it's enough to make you lose focus for a second; its a much bigger deal in ONES imo.

    It eventually corrects the player but you are also able to just let go of the left stick and continue on or, like you said, skate up and over

    We always appreciate the videos. Thanks for submitting them. I also know the dev team is well aware of the feedback we've been receiving on this so hopefully, we'll see changes down the road.
