Gretzky jersey 97 in playoff mode

I thought they fixed that back in '19; Perhaps there will be a day 1 patch to correct it

No, it's not fixed in NHL 19. I reported this as a bug a year ago and no response from EA. I'm certain the issue has to do with retired jerseys being "hard coded" to "On" for Playoff mode. Unlike Season and Franchise modes, there is no option for Retired Jerseys in playoff mode.

      Funny how it’s was an issue then, and NOTHING was done.

      Hi, in Playoff Mode there is no option for turning retired jerseys on or off. There is in season mode (which is what the referring post covered) but in Playoff mode there is no Advanced Options menu so there is no way to adjust Gretzky's jersey. In Playoff mode he defaults to #97. There is also no option in the general settings for this so you cant do it before you create a playoff.
