HUT Buy It Now Disconnects from Server

Every time I try to use the "buy it now" feature for a player card I get disconnected from the EA servers!  I can bid on items, but can't buy them now. So I end up losing out on some great deals! Not to mention waste my own time? Can an EA admin take a look at this server-side and see if there's something wonky going on with my HUT account that's causing this?

    There is no "fix" for this issue that you can perform yourself, and even though EA eventually resolved it for me I was told they really didn't understand the issue, they merely just fixed the data in the database for my account (meaning it can happen to me again, and they don't know what made it happen in the first place).

    Give EA a call through the help prompts - http://help.ea.com/en/contact-us/?product=nhl-2014 - and describe to them the issue, then say that THIS article on Answer HQ has detailed that the Studio in Vancouver has to fix your account in order to resolve the issue. You might have to try a few times because these customer service reps are given scripts and aren't really given any insight into stuff like this (so be nice, and be patient), but they should be able to escalate your issue to the studio to get a fix.

    Little bit of a bump and an update... Contacted the EA chat support, no help there, asked me to have the expert tech support call me to solve the issue but they're only in during the day.

    This is frustrating - I'm unable to buy cards with BIN, so I end up getting trumped on just about every card.

    Try clearing your system cache...and if you have the disc installed try uninstalling it then trying again...Question: Are you trying to buy it now from the companion app or from inside the actual game?

    Actual game. I do have the game installed, so I suppose I'll have to uninstall. Should I wipe the cache as well, or will uninstalling perform that action as well?

    Uninstall then clear cache...then try it...if that doesnt work reinstall again and try again...this is the only thing that worked for me

    Didn't work. Uninstalled and cleared cache, tried, didn't work. Re-installed, didn't work.

    Also, it occurs in the companion app as well, it instantly disconnects me instantly once I try to BIN.

    Just as an update - I've spoken to a few customer support agents from EA - one on chat and about five on the phone, until I got to the escalated support team. They looked into it and this is an issue that the studio has been aware of for about 2 weeks now. They took information about my account specifically to add more details so the studio can have another data point to inspect.

    I'll add more details if and when this gets resolved through a patch - at the moment it still does not work.

    They've know about it for 2 weeks and its still not fixed? Impressive. Would've been nice of them to maybe alert the customers instead of us getting frustrated and not know whats going on.

    So I checked again this morning (the last rep I spoke to on the phone said this was the only way I'd be notified of when there was a fix apparently - periodically check the buy-it-now and see if it works) and it's still broken.

    If you're having this issue please continue to call EA and ask them for resolution of this issue periodically - I plan on doing the same. Chatting is easier but it's certainly cheaper for EA to do - not to mention they probably pay the chat reps a ton less money to be able to help 5 times the customers at the same time. At least when you call, you know that rep sitting in Ireland can't be speaking to anyone but you at that moment.
