I just tried HUT this morning and it is working for me without deleting and reinstalling, etc. Apparently EA has fixed this issue. Hopefully everyone is able to play now. See you all on the "ice"!
I have the same issue…it is happening on our PS5 and our PS4.

NHL 23…it is happening on both our PS5 and our PS4…unable to create a HUT team…deleted and reinstalled the game with the same results…error is failed to retrieve data, please try again later. Tried with both a wifi and a hard wired connection…still won’t work.

Try using a different team name. This happens when you choose a name that is already in use.
