Interference penalties

I received NHL 22 for Christmas. I'm already an owner of NHL 21 and NHL 16, so I have some experience in this realm.

Whatever you've done to the AI for play against the computer is awful when it comes to penalties, specifically interference calls against the human player, almost to the point of making the game unplayable. It's certainly unenjoyable.

There are calls on top of calls on top of calls.

I've seen calls immediately following the faceoff from the prior call. And, no exaggeration, I've had three consecutive interference calls made, two on ensuing faceoffs after the prior call. There's no human way to change player control fast enough to cope with how quickly the AI assesses these penalties. So they're basically unavoidable.

I also had a player flagged for interference for contact with the puck carrier as my player worked the puck away. That is NOT interference.

Constantly having to play shorthanded because of twitchy AI is not fun, making NHL 22 a bad product.

Not happy.

These interference penalties are ruining the fun of the game! Most are not true interference penalties. Players just brush by each other and the call is made. Plus, I turned off the interference penalties and they STILL get called!  It’s a JOKE!! This was not the case with NHL 22 or 23. I have resorted to turning off all penalties. Very sad!
