- There is not an OTP mode as there was in past three years iterations.
There is the option to play Versus mode with friends online, but it's limiting unless you can match up against each other and have enough friends to organise it. - Yeah, I saw that. OTP was a great way to meet new players. EASHL drop ins are full of players that already have clubs, so they usually pair up with a bunch of friends. OTP allowed players to meet random people and play with real NHL stars.
I know a lot of people that are really disappointed with this. I'm not sure why they took OTP away, but I sure hope they bring it back. Thanks for responding. - I was in complete disbelief last Friday after starting the game and not being able to find OTP. Never imagined EA would remove it while promoting all the new modes to play. It's been my go to mode for the last 3 games and I never would have bought it had I known it got scrapped. Might as well call the next game ESHL 19. OTP was severely underrated and a great way for someone that doesn't play video games to make friends or play with custom created players and just wants the 6v6 NHL experience. I guess 3v3 was more important?
I cant believe this is really true. Is EA-crew/developers here in the forum so they can leave a reply? This is something that needs to be fixed in an update very soon. In the meantime I guess I will ask for a refund and buy the game later on again.
After all I feel misleaded because EAsports advertise the game with "most multiplayer options then ever" and "team up or compete anyway you want" and "64 ways to...".
EA, please come with a reply on this. I dont have 11 friends playing NHL18 and I want to join a game full of other players, each having their own position, just like in NHL17.
