I'll mention right away that I'm playing on ps4 with an SSD swapped in it.
edit: I have to admit I only noticed now that this was posted for the Xbox one but I assume it would be the same since it's the same generation of console.
So I started off from the last time I played and just went through the off season because there's a lot of menus which is where the lag is, gameplay is perfectly fine but I attached a clip at the end using the pause menu during a game.
When I open up the draft interviews, you can hear the scrolling sound is uneven but I was tapping my d-pad at a constant speed.
I went through the re-sign phase and it was quick enough that it didn't cause any issues in performance.
**I did decide to add a bonus glitch that's been in the game for a couple years now. During free agency if I scroll down the list anywhere, decide to check the info of a player, then click R2 to check the next player, it brings me back to the top of the list and I'd have to scroll through to find that player down the list again.
Notice the click sound at 4:04, then the player info doesn't open for at least 2.5 seconds.
At 5:09 I tapped R1 to go to team management and that took about 3 seconds to load. The main menu is mostly fine, just overall kind of slow, but it's at its worst when you just get back to it from a different menu.
Opening propose trade and searching a team's players also are just kind of slow to open.
During the rest of the offseason, the pop up trades are fairly quick and the time it takes to simulate through the days is understandable.
Editing the lines is frustrating. There's such a delay when trying to quickly switch to a player you're trying to look at.
Loading the game from the main menu does take a bit of time.
During the game, pausing is very frustrating. I paused, went through menus, and at the end I simulated what it's like trying to exit a game fast. There's just some games where you can't win and just want to quit and that lag makes it all the more frustrating lol.
Thank you for adding the video, @Wobblaa
As the original Xbox One released in 2013 and games now are being developed for next-gen systems, while compatible with the Xbox One it's not going to perform at the rate as the newer generation consoles. I agree the menus are moving at a lesser desirable pace. Does it speed up at all if you clear up space on your hard drive, remove captures on your hard drive, and navigate at a slower pace? We'll share this feedback with the team, however to set proper expectations we are not aware of any upcoming performance improvements that will speed up the menus for those generation consoles.
