Losing connection when trying to join friend's invitation and vice versa

This is happening to me as well. We are both on old gen and can play head to head and solo battles but play a friend always disconnects before kickoff

What is the NAT for each of you? That can be checked by looking at the network settings on your consoles. Which NHL game are you playing?
