Matchmaking on HUT
Matchmaking on HUT needs some serious work. I am constantly getting put against more skilled users with seriously stronger teams (at least 3/4 players over 89 when my strongest is one single 85). ...

its getting increasingly frustrating essentially having no chances at offense as I’m constantly having the puck taken off me as soon as I get possession
Agreed 100%.
I saw somewhere that the top HUT users are finding ways to only play against lower-ranked opponents. I mean, HUT is a farce to begin with but this just seals the deal for me.
I just can't fathom how you have a mode in a sports game where players can just buy their way to having a team stacked with 90+ overall players and then match them up with regular people who grind to get a single 90+ on their first line.
And then these people with stacked teams will just dance around you with buffed attributes. It's no fun at all.
Imagine if EA set up the world championships to be HUT teams? Imagine a world championship being determined not by skill, but by who can activate the most synergies to make up for their lack of skill? Oh wait...
@KidShowtime1867I wonder how far it would take me, if I had Ovechkin on every position and just attack my opponent's every time they got the puck and continue to attack when I had the puck.
Could probebly get my a lot of wins, without having to think too much about anything else then to push my left and right thumb in upward direction. (and maybe, if needed, throw in some crazy left/side dekes here and there.)
Would probebly give me both success and angry opponent's.
It's too easy to play a 'non-skillful' hockey in this game, which makes it possible for people to use that to just 'buy speed and size'.

I agree. I have a goal of trying to build a decent HUT team to see if I can beat these guys using hockey.

Thats the main thing that keeps me going.
You need to learn to loose, and accept the 'cheese'.
But now and then you show them.
"Who's your big hockey-dad?"
You little cross creased squirrel.
But I have given up on HUT, but perhaps build a silver HUT team, see if the ice looks tilted, and the engineer need to fix it, because we can't have an un-even ice!.. Or can we!? No.
