My game works offline but not online

I have nhl 14 for Xbox 360 and everytime I try to play a game online doesn't matter the game mode an error message comes up and says disc unreadable And sends me to the dashboard but the message only comes up right as the game is about to start and Xbox support said I had to contact EA because it works on any other game
