Wow thanks a bunch for the in depth answer bud!!
It’s pretty hard for me to gauge how much xp leads to a skill point etc. I also play most of my games in full which would lead to more xp then I assume. In NHL 13 I always strive for limiting my speed, acc and agility to 80-81. Would that be doable during a whole career in NHL 20 or would it get topped after a couple of seasons?
Now, I can’t be sure however that I would need to do exactly that same thing in NHL 20 since the game might be harder overall than 13? Perhaps the AI is smarter and more aggressive etc… Sort of seems like it when I watch youtube videos at least. In 13 it’s pretty static and dumb. The AI rarely uses its hustle and full speed for some reason…
A follow up question regarding the trades: do you think it would be possible to do what I do in 13? Is there a ‘transaction news’ type log I can look at and keep track of trades happening, so that I can save every other day and just restart when trades occur?
Thanks again bud and have a great weekend!
@Ringkvist13 no prob.. I am passionate offline player and hockey fan.. I wish I would have asked about NHL 21 and 22 before I bought them.. then I wouldn’t have and saved my money instead of getting ripped off lol…
Yes there is a news tracker page, or activity feed whatever it’s called… you can filter and see trades, FA signings, injuries, waivers etc…
It only keeps records though for the last months or so.. but if you check it frequently shouldn’t be an issue..
The AI is better.. still not great but they do pressure you, and your team AI is okay..
After quite a few seasons I’m sure your skating/agility/acceleration etc will start increasing, but there are lots of sliders where y out can adjust human player acceleration/speed etc compared to AI.. so you might be able to find a nice balance by tweaking the gameplay sliders… and adjusting difficulty… I think what you want is obtainable.. just a matter of experimenting and figuring it out through trial and error…
You should be able to find NHL 20 for cheap.. it is probably worth the pickup just to try it out and tweak it to your liking…
Stay far away from NHL 21 and NHL 22 though.. giving you a fair warning… they are very bad lol.. particularly for us offline players..
