Heya again everyone,
As already stated in the thread referenced by @refined98 (thank you!), the developers are working on a fix for this issue. At this time we unfortunately do not have an ETA.
In meantime, where possible please follow the instructions to avoid this from affecting your game:
We are aware of an issue affecting users who started their Be a Pro career with the Classic setting where it inadvertently switched to Authentic without the ability to switch back.
This switch occurs whenever a user enters the Edit Player or Player Growth screens from the BAP hub screen.
We are investigating a possible fix for this issue as well as a change that would allow you to switch your existing careers between the Classic and Authentic settings.
To avoid this problem as it stands, we recommend that you save your career before entering the Edit Player or Player Growth screens and then exit *without* saving and re-load your career to continue.
If you forget to save before entering one of these screens you should exit *without* saving and re-load your career (you will lose any progress since you last saved your career).
If your career has already been affected you may be able to recover an unaffected career from a backup file. NHL 16 creates a backup file every time you load into BAP or save a new file and stores up to 5 backups across all of your BAP careers. *If you have already reloaded an affected career or saved an affected career as a new file* your latest backup file will also be affected so you should only try loading a backup file that you think is from before your career was first affected. If you haven’t reloaded or saved your career as a new file since you first entered one of those screens you should be able to reload an unaffected career from your latest back up file.
You may also consider continuing your career with the Authentic setting. Note that while Authentic BAP games are locked to 20 minute periods these games can be completed in roughly 25 minutes by simming to your next shift.
Thank you,
Nils
