NHL 17 Customization & Retro additions

I would first like to start off with saying that I’m a huge fan of the old NHL with the 1980’s and 90’s basically when I grew up and didn’t have a video game with the great game play and graphics as they are today. I’ve purchased every EA NHL game since the very beginning, and I would like to personally thank you for all your hard work into this game each and every year.

I would like to submit my idea (wish list) and I am there are more pressing issues that need to be dealt with, however if a classic mode was created on your game of which only the top dynasty’s of hockey’s great history going as far back the 1970’s. I could just imagine the huge push in sales from people of my age group who could only have dreamed about having in our hands when those teams ruled the NHL.

The teams I think would best represent the best of the best are:

• 1971 Boston Bruins

• 1974 Philadelphia Flyers

• 1976 Montreal Canadiens

• 1982 New York Islanders

• 1984 Edmonton Oilers

• 1991 Pittsburgh Penguins

• 1997 Detroit Red Wings

Just the best of the best. If the players names are left blank where we can edit them to be who they are if getting their approval is an issue, also on that note if getting approval of the equipment companies to use there old images couldn’t a similar look without the brand label be created in it’s place?

In creating this type of feature, the detail would have to be spot on, I've attached examples of equipment from those days.

 As for the goalies you did have the classic masks in the game a couple of years ago, just please bring those back into the game as well the classic brown goalie pads that we can edit the colours on. Also for both players and goalies if you can add a slider to make the shoulder pads to the size of what current players wear to a smaller size of almost nothing players of the 1970’s that would add to the realism of this mode.

I’d like to thank you for your time on reading this. I do believe that the addition of this mode along with the customization options that I’ve suggested would propel this series to a different level because there are a lot of people my age (40 years old) who play your game and wish on this type of option that was available in the old 2k Hockey series but their graphics and game play sorely lacked and this is where EA would have such a huge advantage.

If you need any assistance with rosters and what I think the player ratings should be on these team I would gladly donate my time and research and provide. I would also gladly provide what those particular players wore in terms of equipment, how they wore them (shin pads tucked, no stick tape, etc etc) I would also provide that research for you.
