NHL 19 on Next Gen Issue

I recently purchased NHL 19 (Xbox One) for four bucks to play on the Series X. 

NHL 15-19’s NBC broadcast and actual game presentation was the best work EA ever did in that department. That was the biggest reason for my purchase.

I’m having an issue though - post whistle when the camera is highlighting a goalie or a replay or any post-whistle action, the game fades to black as a transition to the next camera cut. For example if the goalie covers the puck and the game enters a cut scene shot on the goalie getting reset, the screen literally fades to black to the following face-off. 

it’s killing the immersion since this isn’t natural at all. I looked up gameplay videos of NHL 19 and the camera isn’t doing this, it simply fast cuts from angle to angle like an actual TV broadcast does.

This has to be some sort of issue with playing an Xbox One title on the Series X. It’s such an obscure issue I doubt it’s ever been discussed here. Has anybody dealt with this and is there a fix?

It really sucks.
