@TTZ_Dipsy
All good, bud. You're keeping everything constructive and not just being negative. That's the best kind of feedback whether it's good or bad as it can actually help improve the game.
1. It would be good to see this handled better. Hopefully, it improves over time. I know the studio is aware of it though. It obviously isn't very realistic, but we also hate the frustration that comes from scoring own goals when you don't mean to.
2. Ok. Thanks for the additional details.
3. We have said time and time again. There is no ice tilt, DDA, momentum, catch-up logic, etc. The more you believe in it, the less you'll correct your own behavior. It's purely an issue with aim. These same things happen in real hockey. Real-world teams aren't complaining to Bettman when they hit the post a few times in a game or the dominating team doesn't win. However, many that believe in the ice tilt/DDA theory just aren't accountable for their actions so they don't change how they play. They just blame the game instead of looking to improving their aim, changing strategies, when to cover the puck, manually changing lines, etc. There's so much you can do to turn the tide of a game, but when you're convinced the computer is choosing the outcome for you, basically you're giving up.
4. It looks like you were using DSS and going from outside the leg, to in. That won't trip a player. You also won't dislodge the puck that way, but it won't trip them. You need to be going from inside the leg to out to cause a trip with DSS.
The AI passing examples are appreciated. Thank you.
5. I agree the AI needs to do a better job of being on-side. The studio is aware of this as well and changes have been made to improve it. Hopefully, we'll see this improve still over time.
8. Yes. It would be better to see AI make better passes. Again though, they do make a lot of good passes. It's very easy to go through every game and cherry-pick the bad plays. You can do the same thing with any real hockey game as well. I'm not saying it's not a valid issue, but just something to keep in mind as the majority of the time, they're making good passes.
9. I feel like Malone passing to Bates would have been a turnover. It's a risky pass to make in your own zone. The pass Malone made seemed like the right one. The pass back is questionable though. I would have rather seen a dump instead. Regardless, I get the frustration here.
13. I'm not sure I really agree with you. It's the corner where players are frequently slowing down or stopping to pick up the puck and change direction. Which leaves them vulnerable. In this case, he didn't have much of a chance to move the puck. I've played the puck many times in the corner just fine. It's not always getting hit and turning it over. There's nothing built into the game that makes this particular corner cause the AI to get hit and turn over the puck.
14. A dump isn't always mean to have your team keep possession of the puck. It keeps the puck in your offensive zone which gives you a chance to get possession back. If this were a different mode, it gives you a chance to make a line change. Regardless, had they passed back to you, chances are good it'd be a turnover due to the coverage you have. Boardplay could have maybe worked but doesn't keep the puck deep. #20 doesn't look like a bad option though.
17. That's a fair statement.
18. Sticks are allowed to pass through objects/players, but they shouldn't be able to affect the puck if that happens first. As far as if his movement was impeded, it's quite possible that can still knock a goalie off balance which impedes their play. I think it's questionable, but not out of the realm of possibility this should be waived off. We don't have the luxury of taking this one to Toronto for an official ruling.
20. Agreed.
21. Fair enough. I suppose trying to bump them could have at least been an attempt, but also runs the risk of slowing them down where they aren't in a good position to make a play. Not that they were in a good position to begin with, but I can understand the caution here.
22. I think this one is mixed up with a different clip. Not sure which you're talking about. Sorry for the confusion here.
29. They probably could have made a better attempt to defend the play.
30. Hopefully, we'll see them make better choices in this situation in the future.
33. It was a risky pass, but it worked. If a coach benched every player that made a bad pass, there'd be no one left to play. They stay on the ice because the majority of their passes are good. Mistakes happen. Recovering from them is also a part of the game.
41. I'll keep an eye out for it.
Regardless of how similar jerseys may look, some people are incredibly passionate about them so we like to have as many in the game as possible. It was just the luck of the draw that 2 so similar were received so close together.
I agree about the ability to mark all as seen.
I also agree with the ability to edit multiple zones.
Thanks again for all the feedback.
