NHL 21 Freezes and closes out in Season Mode

Product: NHL 21
Platform:Sony Playstation 4
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Play in Season Mode
What happens when the bug occurs? Game will error and close out.
What do you expect to see? Team ratings and players in the Edit Lines screen.
Was the issue in online or offline mode? Online
Insert Game Mode or Feature here Season Mode
What time did you see the bug? (HH:MM AM/PM) 12:15 AM
What is your time zone? EST (IET) - GMT - 5:30
What is your gamertag/PSN ID? [edit: email address removed]
PS4 Crash Reporting: Please copy the text you put in the crash report here. Game freezes and closes out in Season Mode. Team Ratings show all zeroes.

In Season mode, I tried to play the October 6 game between the New York Rangers and Buffalo Sabres. The screen showing to select sides showed the Sabres ratings as all zeroes. Game froze and shut down. Got back in, went to Edit Lines and showed all 12 Forwards, 6 Defense and both Goalies as unfilled. Is this programming error or a bigger problem. Sent multiple Tweets to the EAHelp page on Twitter but have not yet received a response. NHL 20 did this as well.

    Does it still happen if you start a new career? It's possible your save is corrupt. If that's the case, it's not something we can fix, unfortunately.

    It happens consistently in every season I start. If I move any players, it gives me that error. I have erased the game four times. Eliminated all saves. It does not change. It is definitely a problem the game has. If you play in Season mode, have full control of roster, and use player movement, it gives you an error and you cannot continue that season. You can start as many seasons as you like, but if you have full control and try to do any player movement, that season cannot continue. It did on NHL 20 & now does NHL 21. I have two PS4 systems to play it on. It does it on both!

    Thanks for the response. Unfortunately, I can't think of anything else to suggest. If it's a problem with the game, you'll need to wait for an update that resolves it.

    Ahh. Thus the problem. It never gets resolved. It is well over year since I posted about this and there is no way to talk to EA direct to have them solve the problem!

    Thanks for the response. If I hear of anything else to try, I'll let you know. Unfortunately, I'm out of ideas. We'll just have to wait and see if this is addressed in a future update.

    Hi there, @Meteorite38.

    Is this happening when you try to load into HUT? If you haven't yet, I'd like you to power cycle your equipment with the following steps: unplug your modem, router and console. After 2 minutes plug in the modem and router. Let them come back online completely. Then plug in your console and start it up. Let me know if that helps or not. Thanks!
